Hi! My name is Deanna and I’m a licensed Oregon Real Estate Agent with Portland Digs. I live in Portland and support clients in buying and selling real estate.
Building rapport comes easily to me, so naturally my clients also become friends. I am attentive, engaged and here to serve you through the transaction process, whether you are the seller or the buyer.
Giving back to others is important to me, and I love to support and promote fellow vegan professionals whenever I can. I run a couple of nonprofits in town, and am on the board of a couple others. I also volunteer weekly with a few organizations.
I am organized and community oriented and these skills, which are some of the strongest I possess, give me an advantage in real estate and managing transactions. Professionally, I provide an experience that is as smooth as possible, while offering guidance on each step along the way. My background in education, counseling, and nonprofits enables me to provide you with a personal experience from start to finish (and beyond) with active listening and rapport building at the forefront of all interactions.
I treat each client like they are my only client.
PersonalIn 2003 I served in Americorps NCCC in the South and in between projects I read The Mad Cowboy by Howard Lyman. I started reading other books and articles and cross referencing what I was learning. Before that year of service was over I decided I would become pescatarian (my dad was a deep sea fisherman so I would go home and eat seafood once a year) making the commitment to no longer eat land animals.
When I returned from another year of Americorps service in Alaska in 2006, I decided I was ready to take my lifestyle up a notch. I was deciding between becoming raw, or becoming vegan. I don’t really like seeds and nuts, but I love bread and pasta so I chose the latter of those options.
In 2007 I not only became vegan, but I dove head first into the community in Portland. I co-founded Try Vegan PDX and started volunteering with NW Veg, later becoming a board member. Now I am the President of Try Vegan PDX, and another nonprofit I co-founded NW Animal Foundation. I also volunteer weekly with Portland Books to Prisoners, Xerces, and the Red Cross.
I’m vegan for life.
